MG Jamboree is Going Home!
Yes, you read that right. On November 5 – 7, 2010, the Florida Suncoast MG Car Club will be hosting MG Jamboree 17 at the beautiful Homosassa Riverside Inn Resort, home to Monkey Island and located in Homosassa Springs, Florida. This was our location for numerous MG Jamborees and we are so excited to be able to return to this wonderful venue.
Our theme for the weekend is obvious – Homecoming – and as our club’s motto states, “It’s Gotta Be Fun!” will be fulfilled with the variety of activities planned. Dave Tietz’s infamous “LBC’s in the Movies” and a Homecoming Float down Crystal River are just two of the activities scheduled. Many of our participants dress accordingly to our theme, and our club encourages this. This event is open to all Little British Cars and their families.
For more information on this exciting event contact Gail Lenhard at 727-521-9890 or gail@glennsmg.com Come join us – you’ll be glad you did.

The first Americans sensed something sacred about this brief stretch of Gulf Coast which today supports the community of Homosassa and Crystal River. Perhaps it was the abundant fish and shell life which thrived in the crystal clear waters which rush from more than a dozen springs to the Gulf of Mexico. Perhaps it was the incredible beauty of her sub-tropical forest and vast wet lands. Perhaps it was all of these things together, which created the symphony of nature and history, where human beings could live in peace and thrive with prosperity. The symphony of nature and history, with its infinite harmonies and occassionally dramatic crescendos, continues to play into these bustling, modern times, as western Citrus County's most revered and protected asset.
An Intersection of Man and Nature
Ninety minutes north of Tampa Bay via US 19, US 41, the Suncoast Parkway (589) or I-75, ninety minutes west of Orlando, via the Florida turnpike, and only sixty minutes south of Cedar Key. Homosassa provides one of Florida's most convenient locations for easy access to the State's busiest commercial centers and her most famous major attractions; Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Silver Springs and Weeki Wachee.
